In March 2021, the U.S. Embassy presented the 2020 Leadership Impact Award to good governance advocate Ibrahima Kalil Gueye, on behalf of the U.S. Department of State and the Mandela Washington Fellowship.
Ibrahima is a 2018 Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumnus from Guinea who attended a Leadership in Civic Engagement Institute at The Presidential Precinct. He is also a 2016 YALI Regional Leadership Center (RLC) Alumnus and an active member of the YALI Network.
Once selected as the 2020 Leadership Impact Award Winner, Ibrahima utilized his platform to continue his advocacy and share his journey through articles on the Fellowship website. Even virtually, Ibrahima has been a true ambassador for the Mandela Washington Fellowship and the Young African Leaders Initiative.
