Ambrose Kamya has more than five years of experience in community development research, innovation, and social entrepreneurship. Currently, Ambrose is the chief executive officer at SafeBangle Technologies, where he focuses on expanding the company’s reach through partnerships and business development. Ambrose is also contracted by the University of Notre Dame as a quality control consultant and by Makerere University’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) as a research assistant under the CAES Innovation Scholars Program, an initiative funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development and Michigan State University. Ambrose holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences. He is committed to solving societal challenges—particularly those of vulnerable communities—by using innovative, evidence-based methods. Ambrose credits the Mandela Washington Fellowship, which he received in 2019, with introducing him to the University of Notre Dame community, which has supported the development of his research career and his endeavors as an entrepreneur.
