Babatunde Oluwafemi Okunlola

Babatunde Oluwafemi Okunlola is a multimedia development journalist from Nigeria. He has seven years of experience in using media as a tool to encourage and aid conversations around accountability and development. Babatunde is the content head at Royal FM Ilorin, Kwara State, where he plans multilingual programs that reach over three million listeners in 80 communities. In 2013, he founded Dazzle Media Creations and Concepts Limited, and in 2017, the website Converse Africa in 2017. Converse Africa brings under-reported issues to the forefront and believes in the power of media to get audiences to think, take ownership, and effect changes in their communities. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Babatunde plans to continue to elevate conversations on Africa's under-reported development issues. Using multimedia tools, he will create inclusive development focused media platforms that also educate Africa's youth on their role on the global stage.
