Caleb Mike Mulongo

2018 Fellow from Kenya

Caleb Mike Mulongo has over five years' experience in healthcare delivery, entrepreneurship, and management. He is interested in strengthening healthcare delivery through robust health awareness, health education, and prevention of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). Mike is a medical doctor with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from the Strathmore Business School. Currently, he is the senior medical officer at Laikipia University and is responsible for coordinating medical care for staff and students across the university's campuses. He is a co-founder of The City Cardiac Centre Ltd and ProHealth Technologies Ltd. The former provides affordable cardiovascular diagnostics and care, health education, and screening across low-income populations. ProHealth Technologies provides mobile solutions for health promotion and preventive care of NCDs through their mobile application, ProHealthKE. Mike is also an executive board member at the Christian Medical and Dental Association in Kenya. He is passionate about using entrepreneurship in healthcare and providing affordable innovations in healthcare delivery. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he plans to leverage his experience and networks to expand the reach of his work in NCD awareness, prevention, and care.
