Goabaone Maipelo Banyaditse is an avid volunteer who is passionate about fostering social responsibility. Goabaone is the founder of Masedi a Botswana Association, a non-governmental organization that leverages volunteerism as a catalyst for national development. Through the association, she has championed volunteer placements in several community service initiatives. Her volunteerism experience of 10 years continues to inform her social mobilization efforts to empower marginalized communities. Before Goabaone transitioned to become a community liaison, she was an intern with De Beers Global Sightholder Sales, where she coordinated the flagship staff volunteerism initiative alongside other corporate social investment programs. Goabaone holds a postgraduate certificate in Infrastructure Finance and a bachelor's degree in Tourism Management. She is committed to finding and facilitating resources that drive social transformation. On completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Goabaone hopes to be fully equipped to emerge as a key contributor in the social impact investment space in Botswana and beyond.
