Jean Pierre Sibomana

2019 Fellow from Rwanda

Jean Pierre Sibomana has ten years of experience in community development, focusing on disability mainstreaming. Currently, Sibomana works as the project director of Self-Advocacy Initiatives for People with Disabilities, a non-governmental organization he founded in 2015. He also volunteers with other organizations and associations that support people with disabilities. Sibomana has a degree from the Mountain Kenya University Rwanda in Development Studies. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Sibomana plans to continue his work to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities focusing on socio-economic integration and education opportunities.
