Juweria Ibrahim has more than 10 years of experience in the project and human resources management sector. Juweria is a business administration expert and deputy director at OWS Development Fund, a humanitarian organization focused on humanitarian responses and community development in the Somali Regional State in Ethiopia. Juweria has also established a firm that advocates for girls' and women's rights and offers free mentorships and Somali and English writing skill development for girls and women. She is committed to changing the lives of girls and women by advocating for education and empowerment through civic engagement. Juweria holds a master's degree in Business Administration. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Juweria wants to use her leadership skills to influence religious and cultural leaders.
Juweria was tragically killed in October 2022. She will be missed by all in the YALI family.
