Khethiwe Mhlope is a radio access network engineer with over six years of experience in the telecommunications sector. She currently works at Econet Wireless Zimbabwe and is tasked with assessing the quality of the service, network, and distribution of the radio access network resources. Khethiwe holds an honor's degree in Computer Science, a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications, and a Master of Business Administration degree in Strategic Management. She is passionate about improving gender parity in the ICT sector and empowering girls and young women to consider studying and pursuing a career in this field. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Khethiwe plans to continue her work at Econet Wireless, start a consulting practice that will train girls and young women in ICT skills, and provide technology-based solutions for businesses in Zimbabwe.
