Kupakwashe Mukurumbira

Kupakwashe Desmond Mukurumbira is a sports entrepreneurship maverick and mentor. Kupakwashe is the founder of Dominion Sport Trust, a sports entrepreneurship education company that trains athletes and sports business leaders, entrepreneurs, and business professionals in Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe to monetize and scale sports ideas, products, and services. Kupakwashe is also an advisory board member of UNICEF UK's International Safeguarding Children in Sport Initiative, a member of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association's Guardians Safeguarding in Sport, and an advisory board member for Safe Sport Africa. He is a mentor for the Tony Elumelu Foundation and writes for sports websites and blogs. He has received five awards of Sport and Recreation Business Academic Excellence from the Centre for Biokinetics, Recreation, and Sport Science in South Africa. Kupakwashe holds a Master of Commerce in Sport Management from the University of Johannesburg, a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure Studies from the University of Venda, and a diploma in Sport Management from the Institute of Commercial Management, United Kingdom. After completing the Washington Mandela Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Kupakwashe plans to bridge the sports entrepreneurship gap in Africa by developing sports entrepreneurs and incubating sports start-ups.
