Madalitso Juwayeyi is a highly experienced advocate for social development, with a strong focus on empowering young women. Madalitso has over five years of dedicated professional experience and has played an important role in advancing gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), HIV prevention, and female education. She is currently a program manager at the Forum for AIDS Counseling and Training (FACT-Malawi), where she leads transformative innitiative aimed at promoting gender equality, eradicating HIV and AIDS, and fostering girls' education. She serves as project manager for a number of programs targeting violence against women and girls (VAWG), menstruation health hygiene, and the abolition of girl-child marriages. She has received prestigious awards and certificates, including the UNESCO-GRO Gender Equality Studies and Training (GEST) Fellowship and designation as a YALI Africa4Her champion. Madalitso earned a postgraduate master's degree in international gender equality studies and training at the University of Iceland. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Madalitso intends to use her newfound knowledge, networks, and insights to broaden her impact by collaborating with international organizations and governments to implement development policies and practices that address social and gender disparities and improve inclusivity, with a focus on empowering marginalized communities and fostering sustainable social impact.
