Morine Wairimu Mwangi

Morine Wairimu Mwangi is a creative artist and writer on a mission to raise a generation of self-reliant individuals through mentorship, education, and skills training. She is the founder and team leader at Literature Africa Foundation, a non-governmental organization that advances educational access and economic empowerment opportunities among youth. She has more than five years of experience in promoting access to inclusive and high-quality educational programs. Wairimu has authored eight educational books, five of which are approved for use in schools across East Africa. She also serves as the Africa director for Kahini, a global writing program that provides a platform to create and revise new literary work. A 2019 Mandela Washington Fellow, Wairimu plans to continue developing Literature Africa Foundation with the aim of informing high school students about careers that embrace skills development for economic empowerment.
