Muhammad Bukar Umara has more than six years of experience in youth development, community organizing, and social innovation as an entrepreneur, development consultant, and digital storyteller. He is the founder of Co-Development Hub, a youth-led social enterprise in northeast Nigeria that focuses on youth development and peacebuilding through the arts, creativity, and social innovation. He is also an Equal Access Fellow; an Alumnus of the Young African Leaders Initiative TechCamp; and the curator of TEDxShehuri, a community-based TED-like experience in Maiduguri. Muhammad is committed to offering alternative narratives to youth and development, while mobilizing more people to join the social cause. Muhammad has a postgraduate diploma in Education and a master's degree in Biotechnology. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Muhammad plans to invest his new skills by mentoring more youth to become purposeful leaders within their communities and giving them a platform to express their creativity and talents.
