N Gloria Busingye

2019 Fellow from Rwanda

Gloria Busingye has over six years of experience in community development work and is advancing the rights of women and children in her community. She has over four years of experience in communications and public relations and currently works as a freelance creative content writer. She also volunteers as an advocate for girls in Rwanda who are victims of sexual and domestic abuse and have endured teen pregnancies, trauma, and in some cases, HIV. Gloria also volunteers with Rotaract, under Rotary International, to help mobilize citizen action against gender-based violence (GBV), and advocate for greater support for victims. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the College of Business and Economics at the University of Rwanda. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Gloria intends to continue offering her skills, expertise, and time towards creating a better life for victims of GBV.
