Patrick has 28 years of experience in operations management and business analytics. Currently, Patrick is a lecturer and director of the Part-Time Business Analytics Graduate Program at the University of Iowa, teaching operations management and analytics courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. He also serves on the International Business Certificate Program and as a mentor for the Mandela Washington Fellowship program. Additionally, he has over 12 years of experience managing a non-profit organization. Patrick holds a BS in Microbiology and a PhD in Operations Management and has taught courses on four different continents. In 2017, he traveled to Kenya as part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship Reciprocal Exchange program to work on business development and to help young girls and women start businesses raising chickens and selling eggs. This experience increased his understanding of the challenges faced by developing countries.
