Patrick Saruni Lemargeroi

Patrick Lemargeroi holds a Bachelor of Arts from Africa International University and has over four years of experience in various sectors, including community development, education, children´s rights, and good governance. Patrick has focused on the social transformation of his community by advocating against the practice of female genital mutilation (FGM), and the exploitation and abuse of the girl child among the pastoralists in Kenya. As the founder of the Maasai Transformation Project, Patrick has tirelessly worked to provide education for the neediest and most deserving girls in his community. He is committed to inspiring more young men and professionals, mainly from marginalized communities, to join the campaign against FGM and violence against women, which is prevalent among the Maasai and Samburu people of Kenya. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Patrick plans to establish a community transformation center where he will focus on girls´ and women´s rights, mentorship, leadership capacity development, good governance, and empowerment of leaders for life-long transformation.
