Sylvie Tougouma has over three years of experience in various fields in women empowerment. She is the manager of the project called Promotion of Women's Political Participation in Democratic Life in Burkina Faso and has also worked as an investigator for the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ, now GIZ) and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA). She is currently working on her master's thesis in Legal Translation while teaching law at the Gabriel Taborin Technical Secondary School in Ouagadougou. Sylvie holds a master's in public law from the University of Ouagadougou. Upon completion of the Washington Fellowship, she plans to help her country by promoting the enhancement of women engagement in politics through Tylay and leadership trainings.
