Usman Ali Lawan

Usman Ali Lawan is an entrepreneur with over eight years of experience in business finance, strategic management, agribusiness and entrepreneurship development. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Usaifa International Ltd, an integrated farm focused on the production of poultry, livestock, snails, and rabbits, located in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. He holds an M.Sc. in Energy Finance from University of Dundee, UK and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. Usman has trained and mentored over 200 graduates in the areas of poultry, livestock, and snail farming under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. Usman believes in adding value through coaching and mentoring younger entrepreneurs especially in the areas of agribusiness. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he plans to establish a full-time agribusiness school to help younger entrepreneurs develop capacity in agribusiness while doing his bit in helping to solve the food security problems in Africa and the world.
