Yasmine Hannah Fofana

2016 Fellow from Cote d'Ivoire

Yasmine Fofana, a marketing and communication professional with eight years of experience, currently serves as the external affairs manager at the International University of Grand-Bassam. She is a woman of many passions and women's empowerment is one of them. She now volunteers as the fundraising coordinator for Sephis, an association promoting female leadership. Yasmine is a food and travel enthusiast and believes in uniting food and tourism to drive the economic development in Côte d'Ivoire. Her yearning to launch a startup geared towards culinary tourism grew over the years. Now, her blog, Journal d'une Foodie (http://www.journaldunefoodie.com/), which is the first food and dining guide for locals and expatriates, has a reference. Yasmine attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. Upon completion of the Fellowship, she plans to deepen her path in the food business and positively impact her community.
