Bringing more environmental journalism to Cameroon
Growing up in Cameroon, 2022 Fellowship Alumna Beverly Ndifoin‘s family cultivated maize and beans, among other crops. What used to be a predictable planting, cultivation, and harvest schedule has been upended by unpredictable rains and droughts brought on by climate change.
Since becoming a journalist, Beverly has realized that there is a great deal of work to be done raising awareness about climate change and practical measures to address it on the ground. During her Professional Development Experience (PDE) with Planet Forward, Beverly continued to hone her skills and hopes to make a greater impact across Sub-Saharan Africa.
