Fellowship Alumnus named Top Agri-Food Pioneer

2023 Fellowship Alumnus Terese Akpem was named a 2024 Top Agri-Food Pioneer (TAP). The World Food Prize Foundation selected 38 leading innovators from across the world working to transform food systems, in honor of the organization’s 38th anniversary this year.

Terese Akpem is the Founder and CEO of Vet Konect LTD, a pioneering company based in Nigeria that focuses on advancing veterinary services and animal health. With a strong background in veterinary science and business management, Terese has led Vet Konect to become a key player in enhancing livestock health and productivity across Nigeria. Terese’s leadership at Vet Konect reflects his commitment to improving animal health and supporting the agricultural sector. His efforts are instrumental in promoting sustainable livestock practices and advancing the veterinary industry in Nigeria.
