Abdoulie Conteh

2023 Fellow from The Gambia

Abdoulie Conteh has five years of experience in the information technology sector. He is senior software engineer at Matrix Solution Company Limited, a software company that develops and implements enterprise solutions, such as financial systems in various organizations that facilitate transparency in governance. Abdoulie also manages a team of technical staff to optimize development and to increase the speed of deliverables to clients, as well as a marketing and sale staff for increasing sales. He is the founder and president of the Key Art Gallery, a nonprofit that promotes art and artistic expression in The Gambia by providing art materials, capacity-building exercises, and multiple exhibitions showcasing women and young artists. Abdoulie also currently serves as the research and development program coordinator for The Gambia Marine Environmental Conservationist Initiative and works with teams to provide environmental protection solutions using engineering and technology while building capacity and promoting skill sharing. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Aboudlie plans to work on various community and national development projects in various sectors, such as technology, engineering, climate and environment, and educational development.
