Chenai Muswerakuenda

2023 Fellow from Zimbabwe

Chenai Muswerakuenda has more than nine years of experience in the legal field. Chenai is legal officer at the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe and focuses on adherence to public procurement regulations by public procuring entities and registered government suppliers. She is the founder of Advoqua Inc., which specializes in natural resources and agribusiness investments to empower local communities through employment creation and skills transfer. She has also founded an informal community foundation that raises donations and mentors children. Chenai has volunteered with the Heart to Serve Foundation, serving at its southern African projects. Chenai holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Zambia and a degree in Compliance Management from the University of Cape Town. Chenai is passionate about developing agriculture and climate-smart food systems in Zimbabwe by cementing foreign strategic investment partnerships and synergies. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Chenai plans to implement an enriched portfolio for Advoqua, to help others identify their leadership skills to complement each other in the workspace, and to use her resource mapping skills so that she maximizes the resources and opportunities around her to positively affect others.
