Felana Rajaonarivelo

2023 Fellow from Madagascar

Felana Rajaonarivelo has more than 15 years of experience in photography and 10 years in corporate filmmaking. Currently, Felana is founder and manager at Fireflies, a corporate audiovisual producer, where she produces illustrated reports and films with a social impact that bring positive changes in beneficiaries' daily lives. For more than seven years, Felana has produced a work, a photo exhibition, or a film each March that highlights women and the challenges they face every day. Felana holds a bachelor's degree in Communication. She is committed to putting humans first in all her achievements, being the voice of minority people with her art and work, empowering young African artists and leaders, and being kind. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Felana plans to organize training for young Malagasy people who work or want to work in storytelling, photography, documentary filmmaking, and business leadership.
