Jared has been a community organizer, business trainer, youth developer, and advocate for the past ten years. As a change agent, transformational leader, and entrepreneure, he is passionate about utilizing agribusiness to help young and vulnerable rural people reach their full potential. As a young man, Jared experienced unemployment and job insecurity.  He founded Nimba Ventures Inc., an agribusiness that supplies vegetables and snail products to the local market while also providing vulnerable rural women, youth, and physically challenged persons in rural Liberia with training-based employment opportunites. Nimba Ventures Inc. is the largest snail farm in Liberia. In the next five years, his goal is to expand into three regions and explore the various changes in snail value. At the 2023 Mandela Washington Fellowship, he hopes to hone his business leadership and team-building skills as well as examine the international business context and how to adapt and contextualize that context locally for job creation.
