Ndofor Nwana Sama

2023 Fellow from Cameroon

Davidson Sama Ndofor Nwana has more than eight years of experience as a social entrepreneur in social care and education. He is chief executive officer of Sama Care, which uses digital technologies and a physical platform to valorize care work and dignify care workers. He is also an administrator at VoTech Academy, a technical college that empowers students from disadvantaged communities. Sama has volunteered as a peer educator with Education for Life to improve the sexual and reproductive health of youth. He offers decent care jobs to professional workers who are ensuring the welfare of homecare recipients. He has created diverse opportunities and high-quality skills-based education for numerous students from disadvantaged communities in Cameroon. He holds a bachelor's degree in Physics and a bachelor's degree in Education. Sama is passionate about enhancing the welfare, productivity, and self-actualization of all members of his community. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Sama plans to open branches of his care agency and to establish industrial workstations with his academy to empower more Cameroonians with productive skills, thereby contributing toward Cameroon's agenda of economic emergence by 2035.
