Alfred Akrofi Ocansey has more than 10 years of experience in journalism. Currently, Alfred is head of the business desk at Media General, the parent company of TV3. There he reports on business stories and creates opportunities for startups and young entrepreneurs to grow their businesses through media exposure. Alfred holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He turned to journalism so that he bring about social change by reporting on issues of national concern. For example, through his position in media, Alfred was able to help three street children attend school and improve their lives. A 2019 Mandela Washington Fellow, Alfred credits the Fellowship with giving him the experience, knowledge, and network to reach more young businesses and help them expand with the right coaching.
