Alice Aryeetey is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist who has won multiple awards for her work. She has 10 years of experience reporting on the inclusiveness, development, and well-being of women and girls, especially those with disabilities. Alice is currently deputy news editor of GHOne TV and founder of a volunteer group that supports families with children who have disabilities. The group also visits local basic schools to empower young girls in diverse ways to achieve their dreams while also promoting proper menstrual hygiene in rural and peri-urban areas. Alice holds a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. On completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Alice aims to use the knowledge and skills she acquires to advocate for more inclusiveness in Ghana's social policies by leveraging her organization and her platform as an influential journalist. She also aims to provide more sustainable services and assistance to many girls with disabilities and their families and to empower them with sustainable livelihoods so they can be independent.
