Amanda Nthati Chembezi

2022 Fellow from Botswana

Amanda Nthati Chembezi has more than 10 years of experience in leadership training and non-profit management. Currently, Amanda Nthati is co-founder of Girls for Girls Botswana, which operates in four districts across the country and empowers girls in villages, small towns, and cities to lead by providing them with access to professional skills and mentorship. She is also a network lead at the African Leadership Academy where she empowers youth across Africa on how to engage in policymaking platforms in their countries. Amanda Nthati holds a master's degree in International Development Studies. She is committed to fighting for social justice and equity in Botswana and across Africa. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Amanda plans to grow the impact of Girls for Girls Botswana and expand the reach of her Pan-African podcast, The Tokoloho Talks Podcast. She hopes to pursue a doctorate in Decolonization and Gender Studies.
