Asher Mustapha has six years of experience as an environmental engineer with the Ghana Environmental Protection Agency. She works as a programs officer and focuses on the prevention and minimalization of the adverse impact of development projects. Asher is also involved in Agent of Change projects that educate and create awareness about pertinent and emerging environmental issues in schools and communities. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioengineering with a specialization in Waste to Energy Systems. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Asher expects to work to see all sections of the Ghanaian community value the environment and consciously protect it.
