Atija Assane is a mentor and volunteer in social projects for girl empowerment. She has been working on social impact projects since her childhood and has participated in associations to fight poverty and to empower vulnerable groups in Mozambique. Atija has worked as the director of planning at the Institute of Social and Economic Studies, a non-governmental organization for Mozambican research, and as project manager with the Mozambican Economic and Social Forum to develop the Soico Foundation. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Atija intends to inspire girls to live their best lives through various projects.
