Deborah Anthony Brown has four years of experience in the community development sector, specifically focused on gender and disabilities programming. She graduated from the University for Development Studies, Ghana with a degree in Development Management. Currently, Deborah works with Mercy Corps as the Program Assistant for the Empowering Communities through Strategic Actions for Transformation project. Deborah also leads the KidsABILITY project, her initiative, through which she advocates for inclusive education for children with special needs. KidsABILITY organizes arts and craft workshops and invites education sector leaders to showcase participant works and to encourage them to commit to inclusive schools and community spaces. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Deborah plans to build strategic partnerships to increase the impact of her work on inclusive education through teacher trainings on inclusive teaching methodologies.
