Djaoudath Alidou

2019 Fellow from Benin

Djaoudath Alidou had obtained a doctoral degree in finance and has ten years' experience in higher education specialized in the field of finance. Currently, Djaoudath is an assistant professor at the University of Parakou where she is responsible for the finance and gender and institutions courses. Her last course allowed her to exchange with the students about the inequalities inherent in their society to change practices. She is interested in financing and governance issues in the public and private sector. Djaoudath is guided by her commitment to promote inclusive public policies of actions as well as to contribute to social justice transformations of her country. Upon the completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Djaoudath plans to work on the effective implementation and monitoring of gender-sensitive budgets to promote more equal opportunities for all.
