Fatouma Ahmed Abdallah

2018 Fellow from Djibouti

Fatouma Ahmed Abdallah has over seven years of experience working in project management for the banking and financial sectors. She is currently working at IGAD Center of Excellence for preventing and countering violent extremism with a mission to bring together state and non-state actors to develop and implement a strategy to build resilience against violent extremism in the region. In addition, Fatouma volunteers with local associations to provide food services to urban and rural communities throughout Djibouti. Fatouma holds a master degree in Strategic Finance and Management and an entrepreneurship patent. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Fatouma aims to use the knowledge and skills acquired to contribute to the economic prospect of Djibouti by providing technology solutions and integrating innovative ideas in energy efficiency and affordable homes.
