Folahanmi Aina

2016 Fellow from Nigeria

Since 2011, Folahanmi Aina has worked extensively in the area of strategic data collection, data analysis and research (using qualitative and quantitative techniques). Working at the National Bureau of Statistics, she prepares and revises technical and official statistical reports in addition to coordinating technical sessions and meetings with donor agencies. She is a member of the Abuja Global Shapers Hub, where she is actively involved in community development. Folahanmi holds a master's degree in International Development Policy from Seoul National University, South Korea. Her research interests cut across peace, security, and development. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she intends to continue impacting local communities in efforts aimed at addressing conflict and insecurity.
