Jennifer Batamuliza

2019 Fellow from Rwanda

Jennifer Batamuliza is an information technology lecturer at the Adventist University of Central Africa in Rwanda, where she is also associate director of research and consultancy and coordinator of the innovation center. An active researcher, she has published papers in journals such as Information Security Journal: A Global Perspective and IEEE Transactions on Services Computing, where she is also a reviewer. Jennifer is the founder and chief executive officer of RWA TECH HUB, which provides services in the technology sector and trains and mentors high school girls in technology. She is a member and vice president of the Rwanda Association of Women in Science and Engineering and a member of Girls in ICT and the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, a master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science and Technology, and a Ph.D. in Data Science and Data Mining. A 2019 Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumna, Jennifer attended the Leadership in Public Management Institute at Arizona State University.
