Reciprocal Exchange Participant in Liberia

Josh is an innovative social entrepreneur focusing on transforming naturally abundant fruits into income generating and economic opportunities for women and farmers through value-added processing and market creation in rural communities across the world. Josh studied civil/structural engineering in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is the Founder of Agricycle, leading a team of 20 in creating food and beverage, and consumer packaged goods sold in the United States. In 2019, Josh traveled to Liberia as part of the Mandela Washington Fellowship Reciprocal Exchange to teach unemployed youth how to build and maintain their own passive solar dehydrators, as well as food safety concepts. The youth-focused program is active in Gbarnga and helps eliminate food loss while boosting the local economy.
