Khadija Rassoul Wade

2022 Fellow from Senegal

Khadija Rassoul Wade has more than seven years of experience in civic engagement and mentoring through poetry, art, and writing. Currently, she is an executive assistant for the Korea International Cooperation Agency's Saemaul Project, focusing on the Saemaul Undong Pilot Village Project in Podor, Senegal. In this role, Khadija works to combat violence against women and children. Previously, she served as general secretary of the Senegalese French Boxing Society. Khadija holds a master's degree in African Literature, and is an alumna of the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs in Senegal. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, she plans to help women in her community overcome their fears and realize their dreams in whatever field they decide to pursue.
