Lenin Chisaira

2022 Fellow from Zimbabwe

Lenin Chisaira has more than nine years of experience in environmental law, climate and wildlife justice advocacy, activism, and research. Currently, Lenin is founder and director of Advocates4Earth, a non-profit public interest environmental law organization for the Global South. He is also co-founder and team member at MyGreen.FUND, a climate fintech start-up, and at JusticeBlock, a start-up that focuses on access to law and justice. Lenin is a critical legal scholar with a Bachelor of Laws (with honors) from the University of Zimbabwe, a postgraduate certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law and a Master of Laws in Economic Regulation from the University of London, and a Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law and Public Policy from University College Cork, Ireland. Lenin is interested in finding solutions to global environmental challenges. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Lenin plans to improve and expand his work at Advocates4Earth and MyGreen.FUND to develop innovative digital solutions that democratize access to public information, climate finance, environmental law, and global justice.
