Luthando Akhona Dyasi

Luthando Dyasi is from Khayelitsha, a township in Cape Town, South Africa. He is a a Software Developer at RLabs, an organisation that reconstructs communities through technology, training and development. Luthando is also a co-founder of an educational start-up called Govarsity which is a platform used to bridge the gap between High schools and Universities. Govarsity was founded in 2013 and won the Innovate the Cape Competition during the same year. The company also graduated from the RLabs Innovation and Incubation program in 2014. Luthando is now a mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs that enroll in the Innovate The Cape Competition, and he also facilitates at an educational program called Have Fun. Additionally, Luthando is a co-founder of a start-up called called Dine with Khayelithsa, a conversational dinner that is meant to break racial, religious and cultural barriers and bridge the gap between cities and townships. He is a part of the global EDtech and StartUp Weekend Education communities as well.
