Macy T. S. Wilson has more than five years of experience in social work. Currently, Macy is agricultural extension officer at Women in Agriculture for Sustainable Development. She focuses on training farmers to empower them with knowledge and practices in crop production, plant improvement, and climate change adaptation to increase their crop yields and farm outputs. She also works as a guidance counselor within the Division of Guidance and Psychosocial Counseling at the Ministry of Education, assigned at E. Jonathan Garnett Public School. She assists students, mainly female, in making appropriate and satisfactory personal, educational, and career choices. Macy holds a bachelor's degree in General Agriculture. She is passionate about improving sustainable development and food security among vulnerable women and girls in Liberia's rural communities. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Macy plans to promote technology options to farmers that would increase their productivity and build their resilience to the negative influence of climate-related changes. She also intends to organize farmers' field schools to train farmers in best farming practices and climate-smart agriculture techniques and skills.
