Maxwell Tii Kumbeni

2018 Fellow from Ghana

Maxwell Kumbeni has more than 10 years’ experience in the field of health. Maxwell is currently public health practitioner at Ghana Health Service, where he focuses on strengthening health systems in rural Ghana. He is also executive director of Champions of Adolescent Health, a local nonprofit organization that promotes and protects the sexual and reproductive health of adolescents. Maxwell holds a master’s degree in Public Health. He is committed to equitable distribution of health across all populations through the right policy formulation and implementation. He credits the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, which he received in 2018, with helping his efforts to improve the health systems of rural Ghana.
