Mazin Mohamed

2018 Fellow from Sudan

Mazin Mohamed is a social entrepreneur with more than five years of experience in entrepreneurship and tourism, specifically focusing on sustainable tourism and heritage protection. Currently, Mazin is cofounder and director of Visit Sudan, where he promotes peacebuilding and community development in rural areas near tourist destinations. He is also cofounder of Incitement Sudan, a platform spreading positive change and volunteerism. Mazin is a certified mobile journalist and a YouTuber. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Taylor’s University–University of the West of England, where he focused on Corporate Social Responsibility. Mazin also completed Active Citizens training with the British Council and leads a creative education program for children in his community. Mazin is committed to promoting Sudan as a tourist destination and contributing to the country’s economic growth. Mazin credits the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, which he received in 2018, with helping him establish his tour company and an online platform for community-based tourism companies.
