Modupeoluwa Ruth Darabidan

2019 Fellow from Nigeria

Modupeoluwa Ruth (Modupe) Darabidan has ten years of experience in the information technology sector, with five of those years spent in non-profits.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria.  Her work as a technology program coordinator, and as a program manager in the EDTECH non-profit sector has helped develop her skills as an educational technologist.  Modupe is the chief executive officer at iStarter Hub Limited.  iStarter Hub is a three-year-old startup that supports non-profit organizations and new businesses, particularly women-led initiatives, with relevant and critical IT skills.  Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Modupe plans to set up a design business hub for female school leaders in her community to become budding business owners during their gap-year.
