Mpule Kgetsi

2021 Fellow from Botswana

Mpule Kgetsi has more than eight years of experience in women and youth development. Mpule is a leadership coordinator for the Finding the Leader Within program, which focuses on developing the leadership skills of young people and training them to become self-sufficient. She enjoys volunteering in areas that address the issues facing young people, such as sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, and HIV/AIDS. Mpule is committed to empowering women and youth with the necessary skills for active participation. She holds a master's degree in Dynamics of Cooperation, Conflict, and Negotiation in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Botswana. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Mpule plans to be a key contributor toward strengthening and promoting women's political participation in Botswana.
