Nyasha Mharakurwa

2016 Fellow from Zimbabwe

Nyasha Mharakurwa has a keen interest in the field of sport. He is currently finishing his master's degree in Sport Management at the University of Johannesburg and is the founder of The NM Foundation, a nonprofit entity with the mission of advancing the lives of people with disabilities through sport. Nyasha is also a wheelchair tennis player and coach who has won several international titles and has represented Zimbabwe at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Nyasha would like to return to Zimbabwe and work in the field of sport for social change, focusing on people with disabilities.
