Lwandle Simelane has more than four years of experience in the science and innovation sector in Eswatini. Currently, Lwandle is senior science officer in the Department of Research, Science, Technology, and Innovation. She focuses on coordinating and monitoring research and development and innovation policies, initiating and coordinating the nation's science, technology, engineering, and mathematics agenda. She is an experienced project manager, researcher, and data analyst. Lwandle holds a master's degree in Biotechnology, a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration, and a certificate in Strategic Management. Lwandle is diligent and motivated to upscale her skills in the area of public management. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Lwandle aspires to be a leading woman in science, to address key issues on women and youth representation and opportunities in the national system of innovation, and to tap into the innovation management and research and development ecosystem.
