Omolara Maria Oyadotun

Dr. Omolara Oyadotun has over ten years experience in the health development sector, specifically focusing on the propagation of preventive medicine. Omolara is currently a Senior Resident Doctor at the Department of Community Health, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria where she teams up with other health workers to raise awareness of children and women's health, community development, health policy advocacy, and research, especially in rural, under-served communities. Over the years, she has also teamed up with local non-governmental organizations, community development associations and faith-based organizations and has initiated, planned, and implemented several community outreach programs, thereby bringing to light the health and health-related challenges of under-served communities.Among other postgraduate degrees, Omolara holds a master's degree in Health Management and a Master of Public Health (MPH).Omolara is driven by her passion for preventive medicine and commitment to helping indigent patients get comfort and affordable health care, thus helping to improve the health indices of her country.Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Omolara plans to continue her work in the propagation of preventive medicine with a continued focus on the densely populated and rural under-served areas.
