Pertulla Ezigha Ketcha has more than five years of experience in advocacy. She has designed and coordinated projects dealing with education, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), sexual and gender-based violence, and human rights. As a teenager, Pertulla founded Leap Girl Africa, a non-profit organization based in Cameroon. She also serves as an SRHR lead of the Commonwealth Youth Gender and Equality Network, and as a Theirworld Global Youth Ambassador and Advisory Group member, she actively promotes children's education. Pertulla holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in Political Science. She has received and managed grants from several international funds to support her work in HIV/AIDs, sexual and reproductive health service delivery, school-related abuse prevention, education, and feminist leadership and development. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, she plans to provide safe spaces for victims of abuse by building a safe house for survivors to begin healing and reintegrating into society.
