Qiniso Motsa is a hip hop music artist, actor, photographer, and social activist with more than 10 years’ experience in the arts. Currently, Qiniso is president of the Eswatini Poetry Association, where he focuses on identifying and developing talent and protecting writers’ work. Qiniso is also a final year law student and an apprentice for an international human rights and constitutional law attorney who specializes in providing legal aid to indigent members of the Eswatini community. Qiniso is a recognized leader and advocate for sociopolitical justice and equality. His aspirations include advancing water rights, disability rights, and the arts in Eswatini and instilling awareness within the people of Eswatini of their inalienable human rights. A 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow, Qiniso credits the Fellowship with sharpening his ability to plan, organize, and delegate and with providing him an expansive network of Fellows across Africa who assist him in augmenting his work for his community.
