Racheal Inegbedion has more than seven years' experience in disability advocacy and management in Nigeria. Currently, Racheal is a project team lead at the Special Needs Initiative for Growth, also known as Initiative for National Growth Africa, where she provides empowerment tools, resources, and programs to children, young adults, and people with disabilities. She leverages assistive and rehabilitative technologies, advocacy, mentorship, capacity-building, health support services, career development, and entrepreneurship to strengthen and sustain the social and economic well-being and rights of people with disabilities. Racheal volunteered at the United Nations 15th Annual Meeting Internet Governance Forum, where she promoted digital inclusion. She has also volunteered with the Down Syndrome Foundation's Nigeria Awareness and Advocacy Project to raise funds for heart surgery for children with congenital heart defects because of Down syndrome. Racheal holds a bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Project Management, and is committed to improving access to education, technology, skills, and employment for people with disabilities who have been left behind by the rapidly changing global economy. On completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Racheal will continue working to overcome inequities in the delivery of education, employment, and health support services for people with disabilities in Africa.
